Konrad H Schlick, MD

He is the director of the neurology residency program at Cedars Sinai. He's very good at signing off his neuro residents' pt medical notes. He allows them to take charge and takes their word ALWAYS over the word of the residents' pts...why? bc that's how it goes when you sign without having a discussion about the pt interaction and what went on. His job is to cover for his residents no matter what. Attn premeds: if you are interested in being a doctor don't work at a big teaching hospital... to show that you truly love medicine and want to help people--> show it by practicing in rural places such as Billings-MT, Sheridan-WY, Dahlonega-GA, Chattanooga-TN, Asheville-NC and more. Don't end up like Dr. Schlick who at the end of the day only cares for the welfare of his neuro residents when he probably became a doctor to 'help people' in the first place....if you really want to help people go rural- you learn a lot more when cities have less money, and in the end you become a better doctor… for it.
