Dr. Koushik Mukherjee, MD

Stay away from this guy at all cost. His rating should be ZERO and his license should be revoked. There is not one review or comment here that is untrue. If he makes a decision that hurts you and throws your life into chaos, he will not support you nor will he try to get you back on track and maintenance the issue. He is irresponsible and cruel. Patients go to a clinic to maintain a balance and a healthy one to stay out of a hospital or ER. His decisions will send you to one or both and obliterate the therapy that was always successful and kept one being able to function.

He ordered the doctors to give me a shot of haldol and Thorazine. When I was in mercy for no reason. One time sent me to a psyc hospital far away where I was mistreated and that turned into another lawsuit.

My son sees this Dr. He does not even listen to him before he cuts him off and moves on to the next patient. If you need serious help - look elsewhere.

Like others I have read here, I am sorry to say I have had a very negative experience with Dr. Mukherjee as well. He spends around five minutes with me at each visit and within those five minutes asks me the same meaningless question each time. He refuses to take me off of a medication that he has no evidence to support me needing, despite my ongoing pleas. A very frustrating situation.

Dr. Mukherjee was the absolute worst doctor I have ever had. He spent a grand total of 3 minutes every time we met, and he only asked one question: how was my sleep? That was it. No investigating the cause of my sleeping issues, no explanations of potential side effects of medication. And that brings me to my most important point. Watch out, or you will find yourself being prescribed antipsychotic medication even though your condition is depression mixed with anxiety. I have absolutely no history of harming myself or others and was physically unable to fall asleep when I was taken into care [it was not like I was resisting sleep], and somehow this was deemed psychotic. The drowsiness of the medication interfered with my school life and the withdrawal symptoms prompted suicidal thoughts. Make sure you get a second opinion if you get Dr. Mukherjee.

Doctor mukherje was the absolute worst doctor I've ever had, He thought I was seeking drugs, This was far far from the truth. I Suffer from Major Depessive Disorder,GAD,and numerous other anxiety nervous disorders. I had a TRUE NERVOUS breakdown that lasted 5 years, mum had to come and live with me to take care of my very young child.I had to suffer 5 years because of this man , Nothing else to say about the poor care. I have found years later a wonder MD .Today I'm doing as well as I can be with my disorders due to a Smart ,Smart, and very Educated MD

While at first this man seems sort of pleasant and professional, it didn't take long for me to experience the real viewpoints of Koushik, the opinionated, slightly bigoted man... After a few years now in his care, I have experienced his version of medical treatment.. it involves getting you on a slew of meds, some of which are buying him lunch via a pharmaceutical rep once a week, that he wants you to take. And thats fine. those meds will probably give you more help than if you didn't treat your condition at all.. but anything beyond that, good luck. Plain and simple. I get 3-5 minutes with him, 4 times a year. Now, if he sees me for 5, and lets say he spends 5 whole minutes reviewing your file before seeing you (there's no way that much time is spent, but just to make the math easier), then he's seeing another patient every 10 minutes. That's 50 a day, 250 a week, or, if you consider an average length of 3 months between visits, that means he can have about 3000 patients on his… rolling roster.. And when you are in that office, it is hard not to feel something to that effect.. He is there to process you, quickly, and do the minimum he can do to not get sued, and move on to the next warm body with insurance.

This guy must treat hardcore drug addicts outside of the office. He had no interest in my medical problems. Very unprofessional. He was actually smiling while I was explaining my problems.SAVE YOUR MONEY!!!
