Dr. Kristen Hinterstocker, MPT

Kristin Hinterstocker, MPT, graduated from Marquette University in 1999 with a Master of Physical Therapy degree. Over the years, she has gained extensive experience working in pediatric, outpatient orthopedic, and sports medicine clinics across the country. Kristin joined the Health In Balance team in 2014, bringing with her a wealth of diverse clinical experience and a passion for helping patients achieve optimal health and mobility.Kristin has advanced training in biomechanical running analysis, including the prescription of custom orthotics, as well as in the prevention and rehabilitation of running-related injuries, such as those affecting the low back, hip, knee, ankle, and foot. She also specializes in the prevention and rehabilitation of throwing and serving-related injuries, particularly shoulder and elbow issues. Additionally, Kristin is trained in the Graston Technique, which helps alleviate soft tissue restrictions, and she has expertise in pelvic wellness, including the …treatment of pelvic floor dysfunction, incontinence, and pre-natal and post-partum concerns.Outside of her professional work, Kristin lives in Mequon with her husband, Erich, and their two sons, Andrew and Landon. She enjoys staying active and keeping up with her busy family, ensuring a healthy work-life balance while remaining dedicated to her patients' well-being and recovery.
