Dr. Kristen Mccarthy

Dr. McCarthy a great doctor, smart, knowledgeable, caring. She takes time with the patient and my family has been so happy to be in her care.

I went to Doctor McCarthy for a pain in my back that I was nervous about to due losing several family members to cancer - which started with a pain in their back! (Including my Mom) I got several different vague answers of what the pain was caused by after I had an xray. Let me say,... I never spoke wth Dr. McCarthy after that xray, only the nurse practioner and the receptionist!!! Who read the notes to me over the phone.....which was "the xray was nothing to worry about and make an appointment with a colonoscopy." (Wasn't I told that my xray showed abnormalities last week??? Which was told told to me when I spoke with the Nurse....not Dr. McCarthy.. So, I had so many questions about my back as well as other symptoms that absolutely could be related! I was quite concerned about all of this, but never heard from her until I insisted. I have never been brushed off by a doctor like this in my 51 years. I would Not trust my health in her hands. And my family members and friends… were just as appalled. Please know, I am not one to leave reviews, but I really do feel it's important to share this experience. Too many times doctors downplay our symptoms and they end up being serious issues! My mother was one of those people!! We are our own advocates and yet believe that doctors know all. They don't always. To some we are just a number....next! Please do not allow her or any other doctor take your symptoms lightly, or not follow up on a diagnosis. You know your body better than anyone. I had so many questions that neither the nurse or the receptionist could answer. I should never have to hunt down those answers. (Yes, she finally did call after I insisted, but her responses to me were basically insulting). I will no longer be her patient.

I am 61 and Dr McCarthy took me on at the lowest point of my life and has been not only my Dr but in my eyes my best coach and caring friend always has positive things to say just a pure uplifting on every visit and her assistant Marsha is just as great down to earth and so caring They make a strong team and both deserve a 10 ???????????????????? One very satisfied 61 year old Patient Thank you both

Dr. Kavulich is a very caring person...does not look down on the patient...spends as much time as needed with you...actually listens and hears what you are saying !!! She provides excellent recommendations and insists on follow up appointments. Dr. Kavulich is an outstanding doctor and I would give her a ten star rating!!!!!
