Beyond Five Stars – A Truly Exceptional Physician I wish I could give Dr. Shepherd more than five stars. After experiencing a stillbirth the year before, and being considered an extremely high-risk pregnancy due to multiple medical conditions, I was understandably anxious when I became pregnant again. From our very first meeting, Dr. Shepherd stood out—not only for her deep knowledge but also for her genuine compassion. I never felt like just another patient. She took the time to truly listen, validate my concerns, and guide me with both confidence and empathy. Dr. Shepherd has been my OB-GYN for over five years now, and my experience with her and her team has been nothing short of exceptional. Her dedication, support, and care gave me the strength and reassurance I needed during one of the most vulnerable times of my life. Because of her, I now have my rainbow baby, and I am eternally grateful. I recommend Dr. Shepherd to everyone. She’s more than a doctor—she’s a blessing.

Dr. Shepherd recently performed my hysterectomy. She not only changed my life, she saved my life.…and that’s not an exaggeration. I honestly don’t know how much longer my body could have dealt with what I was going through. Dr. Shepherd is an amazing physician and I would recommend her to anyone for their gynecologic or obstetric care. Also, her office staff is incredible! Everyone is so friendly and helpful. They go above and beyond to meet your needs.

Dr. Shepherd was not curious or compassionate about my situation and was actually quite abrasive. She told me I could find another provider if I wasn’t comfortable working with her and that is what I will do.

She’s nice and knows her stuff. Her nursing staff is great! It’s well worth the drive to feel comfortable, respected, and clean.

Rude bedside manners

Lots of better provider choices in Sarasota. She is not one if you care about your baby’s safety or your own for that matter if she feels like being bothered.

I feel very comfortable with her and I love her staff.

Dr. Shepherd is an amazing doctor! Only complaint was that the wait was long, I arrived early and still waited 30+ minutes in the waiting room. The staff was average in doing their jobs. While the staff was not exceptional, Dr. Shepherd is kind, polite, and great at her job.

Worst staff and practice ever! Dr shepherd is great but apparently is too busy to call her patients back even after an ER visit. I'm fed up with this establishment. I'm not the only one who has had problems. I will be educating everyone I know not to go to first physicians group because of the incompetence of their staff and inability to get an apt or speak to a doctor.
