Dr. Kristi Gayle Clark, MD

Was a patient of Dr. Clark's for 11 years. She abruptly sent my spouse and I a letter stating that she was permanently discharging us from her practice, as a result of a past due bill in the amount of $74. It hadn't even reached the 90-day mark yet. Very unethical, greedy and heartless.

Positive, on time, kind, dedicated, friendly, thorough, never misses any issues during her time with me. Never in a hurry. Personable with me. One of the best physicians I have ever had.h

I have gone to Dr. Clark for close to 10 years and take my very elderly parents to her also. She has been nothing but wonderful. She knows exactly how to deal with elderly patients. My mother wants lots of tests, and my dad wants none. She knows how to talk with them to get them to understand what is best for their health. She has been the same with me, including understanding the rigors of caring for my parents. I would recommend her very highly.

This Doctor is not a good listener, I've given her a second chance, she is rude when you try to explain your health issues, don't be fooled at first she appears nice, but is cocky, she doesn't believe in pain medication, so she doesn't believe your in pain, I won't recommend her to anyone. I'd give her no stars, but not allowed in this review

Only after two visits I know I don't want this doctor as my PCP. She completely ignored my calls concerning adverse symptoms to prescribed medication. All the staff would say is: we've sent her the messages. Dr. Clark is the Medical Director for Health Texas Medical Group. What a mistake. I would give her zero stars but option not avaiable.

I trust her with my life. Excellent Doctor.

If you want a doctor who believes in "do not harm", this is not the physician to see. There are so many things I can say. In the over two years that she was my doctor, the only physical exam she ever gave me to to listen to my heart - about 6 seconds. You tell her your problem, she tells you where to go. I had swollen ankles, she sent me to a peripheral vascular specialist who after an extensvie appt said I didn't have any PVD, and sent her his diagnosis, on my list of diagnoses - PVD. I was moving to another city and am disabled and have been on the same pain medication for over 5-6 years. She gave me prescriptions to last 3 months to give me time to find a dr. I took the last px to Walgreens who called 3 hours later and said they couldn't fill it because it was written over 81 days ago, but if she e-scripted the px, they'd fill it. First Dr. Clark's office said they wouldn't fill it that way even though I insisted they would, so they called there themselves and found out they would… fill it, but then told me they didn't have the proper software. The pharmacy told me in two days if I just went off the medication, I might not have seizures, but I would be very, very sick. I called back to her office and asked if she would put the px in the mail to the pharmacy tonight so they would have it by Monday, she would not. There were 15 calls I had to make to their staff explaining the urgency of the situation and relaying all the info from Walgreens, each time they promised to call me back - they never did - to get an update, I had to call them each time. As 5:00 Friday afternoon was getting close, I again called them and repeated that Dr. Clark wrote the prescription on a date that as a physician, she should have known the px couldn't be filled - this was not my fault -, that she didn't have upgraded software to fix the situation - this was not my fault - and then would not mail the px to Walgreens to avoid my having to be in the emergency room on Monday which Walgreens assured me I would probably be unless I could find someone to help me which will be hard in a city where I don't know any doctors. I have found a doctor for April, but they will not see me early, something Dr. Clark was also told. If you check her reviews and sanctions - there are already marks against her. The last thing - she sent me for an MRI looking for an aneurysm or a blood clot, even though she had the results 3 days later, it took me two weeks of being scared to get her to give me the results. She will hurry you in and out in five minutes, only fix you by referring you out, will misdiagnose you, and then will leave you in a very dangerous position if she so desirse.

Dr. Clark is very personable and professional. Her entire staff is cheerful and efficient. I couldn't be more pleased! She takes time to listen to all your concerns, speaks to you in a manner you can understand, then repeats back everything at the end of the visit (she is taking notes on her computer during the visit.) I have never had a problem getting prescriptions refilled (as I did with my previous doctor) or lab work scheduled.

refuses to do follow-ups w/ appointments after testing

I've been a long time patient of Dr. Clark. I do agree the staff changes have not been for the better - most of them interns for some "training school." True some are rude or clueless, but Dr. Clark and her nurses are awesome! I think the problem are in the in-take area, but in regard to the Dr. Clark and her nurse staff - they are awesome. Lately staff has realty improved and I can no longer complain about them. If Dr. Clark is running late its usually due to an emergency (yes, she is a practicing MD!). It happens, but all those negative comments have no idea why.
