Dr. Kristi Kaye Sumpter, DO

I went to Dr. Sumpter for my frown lines. She told me that was basically a facelift which included my neck. That was fine, however , my neck is not what I went for, the frown lines were a major concern for me. She knew that I wanted it done before before a major event I was attending. She scheduled my surgery one month before the event. After the surgery, my smile was extremely crooked, and I had a dent in my face. AND my frown lines have not changed a bit. Nothing . It has been 7 months and they look the same. My smile isn’t totally back and the dent in my face is still there. It is very disappointing to spend that kind of money to look worse than I did before I went. It has been 7 months. I went in twice voicing my concerns over the dent in my face. She told me she would put a filler in it and never did. When I asked she would say no. I am very disappointed. She knows I am disappointed , therefore I feel that is the reason she is not calling me back for any more before and after… pictures. She took them once. Her bedside manner is great, and I liked her but I was not happy with my surgery …

Awful! I have a Turkey neck from the liposuction of my neck after she told me it would bounce back. I spent thousands of dollars. I had to have a neck lift to fix the problem and spent thousands of dollars again that partially fixed the problem. And, she slipped and the cannula went above my jaw line on the right side of my face and fat was taken from that area. Because of that, there are dents in that area. The face lift I got afterwards from a CERTIFIED PLASTIC SURGEON did not fix the problem. I need another procedure regarding fat grafts that may or may not make a difference. It is horrifying because I do not have a big budget and I have spent thousands of dollars so far to correct the damage that she caused. It still is not fixed. Just trying to save to hopefully fix these holes in my face. Not only that, she went back to try and fix the holes in my face with fat drafts and charged me for it when it was HER mistake. It has been over 5 years and the problem with my face is… still there.

I see the comment by the one star reviewer...I wonder if vitals.com did anything to try to confirm that this patient is actually telling the truth...I doubt it. I saw Dr. Sumpter this week...alll personal who are able to wear masks have them on, the covid questionairre is part of their screening, as well as temperature checks. I think the one star reviewer has distorted the picture quite a bit. Rest assurred you are in good hands with Dr. Sumpter. I would much rather see a good doctor that does not meet the standards of the one star reviewer, then a bad doctor that gripey pants would approve of!

This doctor and her staff do not follow CDC or Texas medical board guidelines to prevent the spread of COVID-19. The doctor nor her staff wear masks or follow basic protocol. Why would anyone trust a doctor to perform a medical treatment if she does not meet the most basic requirements to protect her patient's health.

I finally got up enough courage to seek out help for my nose...even my family did not know how badly I felt about it when looking in the mirror...I even refused to wear sunglasses because I felt like it made people stare at my nose. Dr Sumpter made me feel at ease immediately and I loved her office and the surgery center. Although the first days after surgery were rough ( she had to break my nose and I had a cast) the results were soooo worth it!! It took almost a year for all my swelling to finally finish ( this is normal) but now I wear sunglasses all the time!! A great experience overall, go see her!

From the beginning I liked how Dr Sumpter took her time & answered any questions my husband or myself had. After my surgery she was very gentle with me & took very good care of my needs. I would use her again & refer all my family & friends to her. I love Dr Sumpter

Dr. Sumpter is an incredible doctor. With the help of her office staff, she bent over backwards to accommodate my schedule. The results are exactly what I was hoping for. She was patient and thorough. Every detail of the entire procedure and experience was explained meticulously . I encourage anyone considering using her services to set up a consultation. Every question you could possibly have will be answered, and you could have the results youve always wanted.

Do NOT have Dr. Sumpter replace your implant in a previously radiated breast. While her intentions are good, it probably will not work. She's not going to tell you that, and you might lose a breast, like me.

I come from out of town for my cosmetic work. Won't go anywhere else. Dr Sumpter is smart , kind, genuine and skilled.

I usually would not give this sort of thing any of my time and attention, but feel like those of you out there should know the truth. I am fortunate to know Dr. Sumpter and have had many encounters with her for several years. There are three separate entries on this site written by the same angry patient that Dr. Sumpter finally had to officially cancel as a patient. She has made up the details of her procedures. Legal action had to be taken to get her to stop. She is under a psychiatrist's care now, and is no longer allowed to harass Dr. Sumpter's office or staff. Please understand while the majority of these type websites are helpful, some people will use them for other reasons.
