Dr. Kristin Lynn Markell, MD

I started seeing Dr. Markell nearly 1 year ago when I was about to have a full hysterectomy. I worked through the hormonal harmony program, paying over $2,000 since insurance isn't accepted. I was very impressed with the depth of discussion but didn't really use any other items. Library, monthly calls, nutritional info, etc, as those are areas I am quite comfortable in. I was placed on HRT, and it was working very well for me. My 3 month perscription ran out this week, and I was just told that in order to get a refill, I need to sign up for ANOTHER $1400+ program. They REFUSE to refill my prescription unless I do this. I was also told an add-on $400 visit is ONLY available for patients signed up in the $1400+ program. Now I have less than 30 days to find a new doctor in the area who works with HRT (nearly impossible) before I am pulled into full blown menopause symptoms, all after spending money that doesn't count toward my deductible, getting placed on HRT that is working. … They are NOT here for the patient. They are 100% here for sales. I would happily pay $250 one-time visit fee, or SOMETHING, but the only option given was "pay for another $1400+ program or find another doctor." STAY AWAY FROM HERE IF YOU NEED ANYTHING FOR MORE THAN 3 MONTHS ...

I highly recommend Dr. Markell. She is very thorough in her work. She is a pleasant and bright person. She truly takes the time to listen as well as the time to answer, also taking the time to follow up with any issues, questions, concerns - all in timely manner. She has my respect and trust in the role of overseeing my pregnancy and delivering our baby. She is a wonderful doctor!
