Dr. Kristina Maria Adams, MD

She's very gentle and good with patients that have PTSD. Helped figure out a pre-menopause bleeding issue.

I think she is very wise. I think she gets really busy and could be more patient. I talked alot during my appointment because I wanted to explain all the stuff I had been through and there was so much that had to be covered in that appointment and I wanted to kind of get the repor of the doctor so that she could have a positive feeling towards me because some doctors can be so cold or nonchalant. I wanted to build a friendly compassionate relationship so that when she did the serious things needed she could feel like i am a human and not a number, research animal or fry on the conveyor belt. It would be nice if she would have taken the time to slow down and really listen to me because when I was talking to her she mashed her lips together which made me feel like I was asking too many questions. I was in bad shape and I wanted her help she described a procedure that end up not being good for me which is not her fault. I made a poor choice for myself to take the procedure when in my… heart I should have not but I had came from a disastrous doctor visit before her and so I did not take time to think things through. I would have went with my plan and not with what Dr. Adams thought we could try. Though, I know it was the only option she had that she thought may help me. Some drug therapies can be radical and make you worse than when you came before the treatment and I took it due to what the doctor saw before scared me into thinking was wrong with me. I should have went home that day and thought things through after my visit with Dr. Adams. Even the nurse there told me that was a bad drug to take. I know that Dr. Adams does alot of research on animals which kind of scared me a bit. Because I didnt want to be a research piece. But, she is a smart doctor. If I had to do it over again I probably would have went for what I felt was right and should have spoken up to her about it. She was only in my mind I guess trying to help me by offering me the drug therapy. Which after taking I feel even more sicker. If she had just been a little more patient I may have mention it to her the procedure that I was thinking of doing that would have been best all along and I am sure she would have been fine with it but I was rushing myself and I felt that she had enough of hearing me speak Being desperate I took it. So, that is my fault. Next time, I will research my doctors more on the internet and twitter before making a choice. But, I think she is a smart doctor. She should however talk things through alittle more and tell people about the treatments they are receving about any potential risks.
