She’s great. Actually listens. Doesn’t judge me. Wish other doctors were more like that.

She is knowledgeable and caring and genuinely wants you to get better!

I have been dealing with depression and anxiety for a long time. I had to get help or else I would end up losing my job. I had never been to a psychiatrist before, so I didn’t know what to expect. Dr Purganan is very easy to talk to. She helped me to understand and not be ashamed of myself. I have started medication and going to therapy. I’m so glad I found her!

My mother was becoming more forgetful. She was diagnosed with dementia. Dr Purganan took time to really talk with us about what that meant and what can be done. It’s scary but she made it feel more manageable. I know that my mother is in great hands under her care.

I have seen many psychiatrists who either don’t know what they’re doing or don’t really care. This doctor really knows what she is doing! She adjusted my medications, taught me about keeping healthy physically as well as mentally, did not shame or judge me for my addiction struggles, and empowered me to do better for myself. She has changed my life for the better!

If you are in a Vulnerable state of mind, this may not be the doctor to see. She doesn’t teach, or share her thoughts with you. You the patient are not part of the plan for you. She gets very defensive, at one point I thought we needed to reverse roles because she seemed like she could not contain her emotions (bad day?). She hates her job and it’s apparent. Also, she dropped the ball a time or two with orders and I had to go through her admini office or mychart her to correct. In the end, I agree with the other Patron, made me feel worse too.

Wish there were more doctors like her in the medical community. She actually listens!

Cares for her patient and goes above in making sure they are followed up on.

She's a great doctor! She really helped me out!
