Dr. Kristina Sue Schumacher, MD

Was both me and my wife's doctor until one day I had to take a couple come to my church in crisis. I stopped to pray with them and rushed to my doctors appointment. I called and told them I was on the way. I arrived '2 minutes' after their cut off for appointment and was told there was a charge and I'd have to reschedule. I explained what happened and even called ahead. To no avail. She would not see me. She sat within an earshot doing 'paperwork' and did not look up. There were no other patients waiting. I ended up switching doctors and I was sent a $25 bill when the new doctor requested records. I refused to pay that and it went to collections. I made up in my mind that I could not trust my life to someone who would treat her patients that way. My wife and I no longer are patients. I wish her the best but doubt if the practice will flourish if this is the way patients are treated.

Never have to wait and they know me by my voice on the phone. She and her staff are friendly and competent. have been with her for years and never had a complaint.

I have been a patient since 2007. I have always been treated respectfully, and I feel all my needs are dealt with. I wanted to find a small practice. This office always remembers me when I call to set up an appointment. Dr. Schumacher is great at telling me things I need to know, and the process we will follow to get healthy again. Not sugar coating anything. I have never been more pleased with a medical professional.

I found her because I needed a family doctor because my previous doctor left his practice. I chose her because of convenience. I have 4 family members including myself in need. I visited with her and so did my husband. But when I tried to schedule an appointment for my daughter who has major insurance and medicaid, she was denied an appointment. I was told they do not accept medicaid patients because they thought "those" types take adavantage of the system or get medicaid even though they dont need it. They said these types of patients dont pay. So I told them we will never be back again. I felt discriminated against and I will not give my money to anyone with these types of practices.
