When an older sister sustained a traumatic brain injury asa teen, Dr. Krysten Kasting helped with her rehabilitation— an experience that inspired her to pursue a career inmedicine. She is passionate about helping people regainfunction and return to the activities that matter most.As an experienced physiatrist, Dr. Kasting diagnosesand treats medical conditions affecting the brain, spine,nerves, bones, joints, ligaments, muscles and tendons. Sheenjoys working with patients who have had amputationsand cord injuries. She also performs ultrasound-guidedinjections and uses Botox for spasticity control. Dr. Kastingemphasizes patient education. She believes in workingwith patients to build a treatment plan that works for theirlifestyles. Dr. Kasting encourages a holistic approach tohealth, incorporating diet, exercise and complementarytherapies, such as acupuncture and massage.Originally from New Hampshire, she moved to northernOhio during high school. Her husband is a Middletownnative …and they chose Cincinnati to be closer to family. Sheis an equestrian and enjoys working with equine therapyprograms.
