Dr. Hoover included our whole family in counseling, not just our teenage patient, unlike other Psychologists we'd previously experienced. Since family dynamics play a major part in most people's lives, this made most sense and was very helpful in our situation. I left Kurt Hoover 4 messages over 1.5 weeks before he would return a phone call. We contacted him based off our provider referring him for child counseling. Our son is stress sleep walking and our pediatrician believes it to be psychological. When I explained the situation to him, his reply was 'wow.' He asked if we had seen a doctor, we said yes and explained the above. He asked if my son had had counseling. I replied 'isn't that why I am calling you?' He than asked if we would be paying cash or insurance. When I stated insurance, he stated before we make an appointment he wanted to state he didn't think he could help my son. So, a licensed psychologist can not help a child get over not being able to reach something, doing bad on a math test, etc.? What kind of psychologist states he can't help someone get over stress since you have insurance not cash?

My name is Sylvia, I was sexually accosted by Kurt back in the mid 90s at his office on Ehrlich Road. He rubbed up against me and he was kissing on me and I was a very messed up and confused client at the time. His wife must’ve known, because she made him discharge me and throw me out in a world wind, and that she made him leave that office. In time. I ended up very suicidal very depressed requiring inpatient Care, If you value your mental health and your personal space are urgent please do not do private one on one treatment with this man! He’s not the sweet little child loveing and little daddy he tried to play himself to be. He’s very lucky there are no status of limitations in Florida, because I have the witnesses and I have everything against him! The sexual predators must be obliterated in the face of the earth!
