Dr. Kurt Klauburg, DO

He is not caring or passionate about patients. He was rude and hard to talk to.

I unfortunately had the displeasure of meeting this man at the lighthouse unit. it was thee worst experience I"ve ever had in the 23 years since I was first diagnosed. he is rude, opinionated, and extremely arrogant. he doesn't look at you or listen to what you have to say, but then again you only get 5 minutes at that horrible worthless place. I have told everyone I can that he does nothing for you so DO NOT go to him.

I have nothing to say nice about this man. I was so filled with hope upon arrival. I suffer from bipolar disorder and do not have insurance, so the opportunity to see a psychiatrist at Waccamaw Health was a blessing. Immediately I felt his "bedside manner" was lacking a bit, but I've had great doctors in the past who also had no real people skills. He asked questions, as doctors do, and then immediately turned around and asked other similar questions like he never even heard or paid any attention the first time. Example: How many children do you have? I responded by saying I had 3 sons. He then asked me, So are you two children both with your husband? I paused for a moment, and said again my THREE children are with my husband, yes. This scenario happend with several questions. I'm a very open book and did not give any confusing or shady answers, that might have been hard to understand. I also told him of a time in my younger years when I had attempted suicide. I told him where I… lived was rural, and that the only open 'mental health' bed available at that time, was at a drug rehab facility. I made it clear I had no issues with drugs, this was just a 'safe place' they put after trying to harm myself. Later in our conversation he ask me about doing hard drugs, and I told him no, I have never touched anything hard in my life. He then proceeded to say but you went to rehab. Not sure how I could have made it any clearer. The whole appointment went even further downhill from there, so much that it physically upsets me to talk about it. I wouldn't see this man again if it meant life or death. I'd rather meet my maker any day, than talk to this man who has no business dealing with people, much less people who are struggling emotionally. I rated this man terrible on everything. Please know these are not my feelings of Waccamaw Health, everyone else there I have encountered has been excellent and professional.

He does not care what you have to say, I was put in the lighthouse held there for 14 days, put on meds released not feeling any better, could not sleep well at all, could not sit for more than mins at a time... after 3 weeks was in bad shape again was put in Mclean after 18 days much better, well 9 moths later back in lighthouse, and the doctor puts me back on same meds that didn't work the 1st time, would not put me on the meds that where work, locked me down for another 14 days, just to get money and push pills that don't work I cant sleep or take care of myself. Who lets him hold a DR. title... he does not care !!!! I letting you know
