Dr. Kurt Von Miller, MD

Tried to make an appointment after my Dr referral. Extremely rude receptionist, I tried to ask questions before I made the appointment. She kept cutting me off, wouldn't answer anything, then said now I couldn't make an appointment, then hung up on me. I called back and she said I know it's you again, and hung up again. I won't put up with that, just going to make an appointment elsewhere. Too bad, this Dr might be really good but I'll never know because his receptionist is so rude and unprofessional!

I am a workers compensation patient. I called the office to ask a question about my appointment date and the receptionist Jodi would not give me any information and insisted I speak to the insurance adjuster. Before I could even complete my sentence, Jodi hung up on me. I couldn't believe how rude and unprofessional she was. i called back to ask for the manager and she hung up on me again. I called back and she said it is their policy not to speak to the patient. How ridiculous. What happened to patient rights? All patients should be treated with courtesy and respect regardless of their insurance whether be it private, workers comp., or medi-cal. I have been a patient in different offices over the years and never have received such rude treatment. She spoke over me every time and kept saying for me to call the adjuster then hung up before I could say a word. I called back on a different day and asked to speak to the manager. I got a voicemail and left a message. The manager never… called me back. A week later I called and asked for the manager and she spoke to me and let me know she heard all about it and decided I wasn't going to be seen there. She wouldn't even hear what I had to say only taking her co-worker's version of what had transpired.What kind of management skill is that? As a manager you should hear both sides then come to a conclusion but she would't give me the courtesy to hear me out. I am glad I live in a society that is democratic with a judicial system that believes one is presumed innocent and must be proven guilty based on facts and testimony from both sides. Dr. Miller's manager has not caught on to this very American concept of fairness. I would not recommend this office based solely on the behavior of the staff.

Dr. Miller in my opinion is a very caring and courteous Dr.. Very good at his professions. Pain management, very knowledgeable.
