Dr. Kurt Metinrussel Sowers, MD

My mother is a patient of Dr. Sowers. I have found him to be very knowledgeable and helpful at all the appointments, and he is always willing to answer my many questions. He seems to care about my mother and any issues she is having, which has not been the case with previous doctors. As he was leaving the room at the end of the first appointment, he shook my mother's hand, then shook hands with my sister and me, and said, "I'm going to take good care of your mom". No other doctor has ever said that to us.

I have had two appointments with this specialist referral from my primary care doctor. Both times i was told nothing needed to be done prior to the appointment. Even though I asked well in advance. The second appointment I drive an hour there and back. I get there and fond out i need blood work prior to seeing him. So i do that while i am there. Reschedule and then they call asking my boyfriend if i had labs done. What? How do they not know this? They are very friendly group of people but they are very disorganized and it leaves me doubting their ability to treat me properly. I am not impressed and i realize things get messed it up but this is a bit unprofessional.

staff and doctor seem disorganized and confused about what tests he has ordered or not ordered. i like arh hospital but this guy needs to take time so sit down and listen to his patients instead of being dismissive. and then expecting the patient to jump through hoops.

Hes weird and creepy

Personally know he genuinely cares and is not afraid to take a risk in best interest of patient.

Avoid!

Dr. Sowers treated me in the hospital. He has good bedside manners. Was forward and honest with me. Took the time to tell me what was going on and what to expect. I will be looking into following up with him in his office.
