Dr. Kwabena Appenteng Boateng, MD

When I arrived at the office I felt awkward. I'm not sure but I had an awkward vibe and started having anxiety. The nurse was nice. She asked me why I was there and I told her everything! That was going on with me. When we were done she said he'd be in shortly. Thirty minutes later he came in. He didn't introduce himself, he didn't shake my hand. He had on dirty stained scrubs, his finger nails were dirty, and he wouldn't stop twitching, rubbing his jaw and would not make eye contact and his eyes were bloodshot.. maybe he wasn't on much sleep but either way I instantly wanted to cry because it was just uncomfortable. Also every OBGYN I have went to has has their nurse in the room with them. He asked me what was wrong and I again had to re explain everything. Told him I was having excessive bleeding, and how I had bled for 4 weeks them stopped for 3 days and then began bleeding again. Told him I have pcos and how I'm feeling pain more then Normal and wearing two pads at a time.. he… literally!!! Said "Bleeding from your vagina?".... I froze.. at that moment I was thinking I'm uncomfortable and where else would I be bleeding from? He just wasn't professional and his body language was off.

I had a procedure done in a disgusting office with this man. It was fairly invasive and involved a removal and biopsy. He gave me absolutely no information on what was going to happen. He repeatedly cut tissue without any heads up. It was awful, and the poor nurse did her best to comfort me as I’m desperately holding back screams. He seemed angry that he had to even be there doing the procedure and it made me more than uncomfortable. I can’t talk about this experience without becoming emotional and being reminded of the pain and residual issues that resulted. Please be very careful before choosing this doctor.

Great doctor horrible at communicating with patients .

I had surgery with Dr. Boateng and I loved his attentiveness. As apatient, I feel very empowered whenever he has to share information with me. He encourages his patients to research. When I had to have fibroids remove, I found out that there is a machine that can be used to order to minimize scar. I told him about it and he did his research to get that machine to do the operation with. That is how awesome he is. I will recommend him to everyone.

I have had four children with four different OB doctors and by far Dr. Boatang was the best! I wish I would of found him sooner!

when i first came to dr.boatengs office i was a little worried because i didnt even see the doctor for the first 5 monthes of my pregnancy and when i finally did he was in and out before i could even ask a question. that aside when i went into labor he made up for it!! he was a great doctor did a wonderful job and i will continue to keep going back. he has a very serene attitude and when i came in the room i instantly calmed down. he is just a quiet man but he is very experienced. dont be put off by how quick he is. he really does care a lot just stop him and ask him your questions he answers them very well he really does seem to have a big heart. also his nurses are soooo nice!!

Dr. Boateng is just Great!

2009. My first time seeing this doctor for ovarian masses and he was very detailing my history. He recommended surgery and it was very successful.I am so glad he was aggressive enough and thoughtful enough to take care of me. I would recommend this doctor.
