Dr. Kweli Ayo Moyo, MD

I had an extremely disappointing experience with Dr. Kweli Ayo Moyo. From the outset, her demeanor was dismissive and rude. When I tried to discuss serious issues with a medication I was taking, she was not only dismissive but completely failed to provide any concrete solutions. Instead, I found myself having to guide her toward what I was hoping to achieve. Her lack of empathy and condescending tone throughout the session left me feeling entirely disrespected and unheard. Moreover, despite my concerns, she rushed through the session, prescribed medication without a thorough discussion, and repeatedly insisted on rescheduling unnecessarily. Her approach was inconsiderate, and her behavior reflected a disturbing lack of care for her patients' well-being. As someone seeking psychiatric care, I left the session feeling worse than when it began. Now, I have access to medication without any proper guidance, which even the pharmacists found alarming. This is absolutely unacceptable in the… medical field, especially when dealing with this specific group. Dr. Moyo appears unfit for her role in mental health care, as her attitude and actions demonstrate a complete disregard for the vulnerable individuals she is meant to support. I strongly urge Kaiser Permanente to address this issue immediately, as no patient should have to endure such treatment. Her guidance is so poor that I sincerely believe she should not work with teenagers or young adults facing psychological difficulties.

She is amazing. I love her, She was very direct and supportive.

This condescending woman rolled her eyes at me, scoffed at me, didn't listen & contradicted herself multiple times. She kept making me schedule monthly visits just for refills & I would leave in panic attacks. Best thing I could do for my mental health was NEVER see her again.

Had an evaluation with Dr. Moyo for the first time. She is very off putting. Not comforting nor any attempts to be understanding or empathetic during questions- she is straight to the point but does show her opinion and makes sure you know it. Would NOT recommend ever. I hope she begins pursuing a career that suits her better where she's able to work with a smile on her face.

My experience was really bad. I tried to chalk the first interaction up to it being an initial meeting and slow development of rapport... The second meeting confirmed it: being rude, dismissive, and condescending are just in her nature. There appears to be narrow group of personality types that she gels with, and the rest of us should seek help elsewhere.

May she was having a bad day, but she seemed annoyed, was unprofessional and the look on her face gave me the impression that she had something better to do. I will not visit again. and will be changing my health care provider for next year. oh she was also 20mins late for my apt.

I saw Dr. Moyo for 6 months and left due to her being rude, vindictive, and incompetent. I was given a prescription for .5mg, and we both agreed it was not enough. She said she would prescribe me 1mg instead, but when I picked it up she never updated it and I was left with .5mg. I emailed her and she said she would fix it next time. Next time rolls around and guess what, no prescription increase. I'm stuck with .5mg again. I email her with some strong opinions on this and she tells me she will no longer see me and that I should find a new doctor. Oh, and she didn't update the prescription either. I was left with half of what I needed two prescriptions in a row. Before this incident, she was also quite rude and wouldn't believe a lot of the issues I was having. This, coupled with the above, left me with a very bad taste and would never recommend her. You'll see similar cases if you look at other reviews around here as well.

I have been seeing Dr. Moyo for a while. I read the other reviews and here is what I think. She's real! She tells you how it is, but not in a way you are depressed more or feel more badly about yourself. I am honest; hence, I like when people are honest with me. I feel comfortable talking to her about my issues. She gives me advice, but I think she understands some things because she was in the same position once. Dr. Moyo responds to my emails right away. I really appreciate her as my doctor.

She is one of the most genuine, caring, attentive doctors I've ever seen. Dr Moyo is straight forward and very truthful. She isn't afraid to tell you when she's concerned about you or if she's on board with your decisions, thoughts or ideas. She has consistently shown me for 2 years that she fully supports me and cares about me and my well being. I am truly grateful to Dr Moyo and know she's one of the best in the business. My life has been very positively impacted by her and I'm eternally grateful I met her and continue to see her.

WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!!!!! THIS DOCTOR SHOULD BE BANNED FROM SEEING PATIENTS!!!!!! SHE PUTS AN ANXIETY PATIENT IN THE WORST ENXIETY CONDITION, MAKES THEM FEEL STUPID AND WORTHLESS!!!! ALL SHE CAN DO IS TO WRITE A PRESCRIPTION.. EXTREMELY RUDE, FORGET "HI" OR "HOW ARE YOU" OR "NICE TO MEET YOU".... TERRIBLE ATTITUDE, SO NOT PROFESSIONAL! THIS "DOCTOR" IS MY AND YOURS WORST NIGHTMARE! BEWARE!
