If only I had read these reviews beforehand, I would have never gone to see him. My orthopedic doctor referred me, and I was hopeful that this appointment would finally provide answers to the neck and head pain I had been experiencing for months, despite seeing a chiropractor, massage therapist, and orthopedic specialist. My original Monday appointment was canceled the Friday before, so when I received a call at 8:30 AM offering a 9:00 AM cancellation slot, I rushed over, eager for answers. However, Dr. Cabbelle barely acknowledged me when called me back from the waiting room. As I approached him, he quickly turned and walked away down the hall without much of a greeting. Once in the exam room, he seemed to review my MRI for the first time and dismissed most of my concerns, nonchalantly stating that the report didn’t support the symptoms I was experiencing. When I asked what could be causing my symptoms, his response was simply, ‘I don’t know.’ When I became emotional out of… frustration, he sent me to the X-ray department. I mentioned that my chiropractor had recommended physical therapy, to which he shrugged and said he could write a referral and suggested I come back in a month for a follow up. Overall, I felt disregarded and unsupported during the entire appointment, which was disappointing given how hopeful I had been.

I love Dr Cabbell because he listened to what I had to say about my 10 year struggle with pain and took control of my care. I wish I had just found him years ago.

My visit to Dr. Cabbell was very rewarding. I think he felt my pain and he also gave me option regarding my condition and most of all he listened.

Amazing doctor. He had a diagnosis just from watching me walk into his exam room. The MRI just confirmed his diagnosis. Also, he has an amazing bedside manner. I feel very assured with his care and am glad I was referred to him.

Dr. Cabbell, explained everything to me and my daughter very well. It left me with a better understanding of my situation and I what my decision would be about my situation. He has a very calming personality, which makes you feel at ease. He listens to your concerns and really cares about your situation.

As a nurse of over 20 years... If I could leave less than one star I would. My mother suffered a traumatic event (ruptured aneurysm/ hemorrhagic stroke. We were thankfully with her and had her in the ED in minutes. We then waited over 3 HOURS for this man. When he finally arrived he was not just cold and callous but purely mean and unprofessional. As my mother lay there intubated and dying he told me he "was stretched thin and had a lot going on". When I indicated that I had a lot going on as well, and she was lying on the table... he turned away from my mother's scans and stared me down with the most vicious look I have ever seen. My mother had a chance when she arrived, but after the 3 hour wait the damage was catastrophic and I subsequently lost her. I am not speaking from a place of an uneducated layperson but as an experienced nurse who works in neurosurgery myself. This man should never be allowed to do this to another family. I firmly believe he, and the mismanagement of her… overall care that night, are the reason I am planning my mother's funeral rather than her rehabilitation. Please... avoid him at all costs. He may be a talented surgeon but he needs administrative leave for a refresher in compassion and perhaps an anger management course at the very least.
