Dr. Lael Elizabeth Forbes, MD

Dr. Forbes operated on my husband when the ship doctor sent my husband to Mount Desert Island Hospital in Bar Harbor, ME. She was caring and very compassionate and did an excellent job on my husbands' incarcerated inguinal hernia. She took the time to explain everything to both of us. We are from PA and it was quite a stressful situation for both of us, but Dr. Forbes put us at ease. Thank God she was there! We could not have asked for better care.

Dr Forbs did a good job in surgery but her bedside manner it's cold and quick rough and to the point her staff is the same way no compassion getting through on the phone to make an appointment I just tried almost 30 minute on hold very difficult to get a timely appointment wish I could switch doctors

There is no Dr. like Dr. Forbes. She is passionate and caring and nurturing. That other clown, Dr. Balder has the worse bedside manner and I have asked to be keep away from him. Dr. Forbes knows her stuff. She is tough, but she wants us all to succeed.

No Joke, that's what they call me....Dr. Forbes did an outstanding job on my gastric bypass. Can't say enough good things about her. I just happen to be one of those paitents that "could happen" happens to.... But all in all, I lost 184 lbs, look and feel great and would do it again in a NY minute. To bad I moved down south, I lost a great Doctor.

Dr. Forbes did an outstanding job. She is very thorough and knowledgeable. She is caring and easy to contact.
