Dr. Laila Farhat, MD

I was referred to Dr. Farhat from a friend. I had been trying to find a primary care physician in Bay Ridge for over 4 months and the Dr.’s that’s I saw just didn’t seem to care or tried to put me on medications I didn’t need or ran ridiculous tests with no follow up. I found Dr. Farhat and from the moment I walked into her office I knew I had found my PCP. The girls at the front desk were kind and accommodating and helped with the paperwork needed to add Dr.Farhat as my PCP with my insurance (which took less than 10 minutes). I was seen by Dr. Farhat in a timely fashion and she spent about 45 minutes getting to know me and my past medical history. Since there is a Phlebotomist in the office, I did my blood work, rather than having the annoying task of going to a lab and she ran a few tests that I asked for. When I went for my Follow up visit she thoroughly went over my blood work and other test results and we found I had a condition that she was able to treat. … After about a month I was sick 2 times and asked for a last minute appointment. I was told to come in right away and I was seen. If you need a PCP that is caring, thorough, patient and truly cares about your health and well being AND has a staff that is kind and considerate then your decision should be easy!! Dr. Farhat all the way!!!

This doctor doesn't care about any of her patients. she pays no attention to them and just pumps all of her patients up with legal drugs. she is horrible. A legal drug dealer. her office is dirty her staff is nasty and you will spend hours in the waiting room to be seen for 5 minutes.

She's on of the best doctors I've ever been to. She develops a really good relationship with her patients and she's a really good and professional. She's the right one to talk to about physical and psychological problems. I encourage everyone to see her if having any health problems. She's one of the best doctors out there.

I highly recommend anyone sees the doctor. Thursday went to see dr farhat, after telling the staff of my urgency of sick and how much pain I was in. Guess what they said I couldn't see her untill I took a blood test. Now finally seeing the dr all she had to say after I told her whats wrong is don't worry it will pass. Next day friday came back I demand to speak with her as my symptoms have gotten worse. Still nothing positive came out of it. I was in so much pain Saturday morning I decide to go to the hospital. They properly diagnose me.. it wws a serious infection that could of messed up my manhood. I just want to say thankyou 2 the docs at the hospital and farhat I hope you read this and pay more attention to your patients

The doctor has way more patients then she can handle. My initial visit lasted all of 10 minutes after waiting over 45 minutes to be seen, mind you I had an appointment. I was not pleased with her follow up what so ever. I needed her to call in a prescription for me and it took her over 2 hours!!! Do yourself the favor and don't waste your time because that's exactly what it is a waste of time.

Dr. Farhat is a great doctor, however the wait time is crazy. I have waited as long as 2 hrs at times.

I went to this Dr 3 times hoping that each visit would be better than the next but I left dissapointed each time. She doesn't ask much questions you basically diagnose yourself. Her time is limited with you as she always rushes. She refused to take my blood pressure after I asked replying that "I'm young I don't need to worry about that" (25yr female). I was dumbstruck at her comment and left in a hurry because she clearly didn't care.
