Lakshmi Kallur, MD

Dr. Lakshmi Kallur is a pulmonologist who specializes in diagnosing and treating conditions affecting the lungs and respiratory system. She earned her medical degree from the American University of Antigua in St. John's, Antigua and Barbuda. Dr. Kallur completed her residency training at East Tennessee State University/Quillen College of Medicine in Johnson City, Tennessee, followed by fellowship training at East Carolina University in Greenville, North Carolina. She is fluent in English.

Dr. Kallur practices at two locations in Hickory, North Carolina: the FryeCare Thoracic Oncology Clinic and the FryeCare Lung Center. Her clinical expertise includes managing conditions such as diabetes, high blood pressure, and kidney problems. She performs specialized procedures including pulmonary function testing to assess lung capacity and breathing patterns, bronchodilator testing to evaluate airway responsiveness, and therapeutic hypothermia treatments for critically ill patients.
