Waited months for a five minute visit during which time he maybe spent 15 seconds looking at my skin. Refused to believe that what I had could be anything other than his diagnosis. After all, he'd "treated thousands of patients with the exact same thing." After four months of his prescribed treatment I had a whole new set of problems to deal with as well as exacerbation of the original condition. Turns out, he misdiagnosed the main problem. Worst of all, each month I saw him he tried to convince me that there was definite improvement when nothing could have been further from the truth. At my last visit, he finally conceded that the treatment wasn't working and was most likely causing the untoward side effects but I could stay on it if I would like. At the time, I thought this was a poor attempt at humor. It wasn't. His knowledge of skin diseases and available treatment options is quite frankly unacceptable and the apathy with which he approaches his job is appalling. I'm pretty… sure the latest journal article he has read was from the 1960s and it is apparent that he has no interest in cutting edge or even modern treatments. It's been nearly eight months since my final visit and I'm still dealing with the aftermath of his incompetence. Judging by this review, it may seem that I like to complain but this is the first time I have ever written anything like this. I am stunned that he has gotten such good reviews and I hope that this, at the very least, helps someone make a more informed decision.
