Dr. Lance Richard Winter, DO

Dr Winters performed an IME on me for my employers workers comp co. My EXPERIENCE Winters walked in straight face, rigid w/ few words. He performed his examination on my knee and ankle as if I was a piece of plastic & had no pain. Winters never asked what difficulties I had been experiencing. He asked me to lay down on the examination table & my knee automatically jerked. Dr. Winter asked me if I was able to straighten my leg when I laid down &I told him I need to use a pillow under my knee to prevent it from hurting & jerking at times. Winters said nothing and proceeded with his exam, roughly twisting the bottom of my leg (knee down) like a wind up to. Winters was extremely unkind, uncaring & rough. Dr Winters was paid a pretty penny to state that I do not need surgery on my "complete torn tendon" in my right ankle and torn meniscus. Winters was shown pics of me at the gym working out. All work outs were within PT's parameters. WARNING!

Dr. Winters is not a good Doctor I was giving and unnecessary surgery that as of 2 years later has not healed. I followed all instructions went to physical therapy several times still no results. I am in pain and he refused to see me again.I was even told he no longer works there.. let me just said he was nice in the beginning after I complain him and his staff changed on me.. I am now under the care of someone else who has to fix his mess up.

I Honestly could not give Dr. Winter a higher recommendation. I would definitely recommend him to anyone. He was recommended to me by a friend who had had great results with him. I saw him for problems I have had with my shoulder for years. I am so happy I did, he is an amazing physician. My shoulder is finally better! He listened to my problems intently, explained my problem and his treatment plan and helped me tremendously. He is an excellent physician. He is kind, and cares about his patients

Dr. Winter is a great Orthopedic Surgeon. He talks and answers any questions you may have before surgery and after and during your hospital stay. Very kind, thoughtful, experienced and respectable doctor.

Dr Winters professionalism and abilities are more than I expected. He talks with you, gives you options and works with you for the best outcome. His staff goes above and beyond. . Thank you for excellent care and treatment options.

Dr. Winter treated my fractured wrist and as never having a broken bone before, was very patient with my questions and my concerns regarding treatment through PT or to go with surgery. Ended up having to go with surgery but everything has been well thought out. Staff is wonderful as well....

Exceptional

I ruptured my ACL playing college soccer. Dr. Winter did surgery to fix it and now I am playing again just as I did before the injury. Dr. Winter and his staff were wonderful through the whole process and help me get back on the field. Thank you!

Dr. Winter Did surgery on my foot to repair a severed tendon. I now have full function and no problems. Dr. Winter and his staff were very helpful through out the process and were available to answer all any questions or concerns I had. He even called me at home after the surgery to check on me. Dr. Winter is an excellent doctor and cares about his patients.

I've visited Doctor Winter numerous times for multiple issues. As I grown older I recognize my need for not just a good doctor, but a Great doctor! He and his staff are personable and courteous. I highly recommend this office in McKinney.
