Dr. Lara Segalite, MD

Dr. Segalite helped me through a very dark period in my life. Her compassion and knowledge has literally saved my life in many, many ways. I owe her so much.

I have been seeing Dr. Segalite for 4 months now, and she gave me my life back, no exaggeration and no drama. Before I saw Dr. Segalite I have been on countless types of Antidepressants and mood medication, with no great success and most with serious side effects. She listened very carefully to what I was telling her and payed attention to my history. Instead of continuing to add to the endless list of Anti-depressants and mood medications I have been on in the course of 40 years, she was the only Doctor who suggested "Genetic Testing" The results of the testing was life altering for the better. She was the only Doctor to get to the root of my Depression and mood disorder. From the results of the Genetic Testing she proscribed a new treatment plan. She is safely weening me off of the current medications I'm on. Thank you Dr. Segalite. I would highly recommend her.

Doctor Segalite is compassionate, intelligent, and saved my life in 2012. She’s a good listener and diagnosed me with great accuracy in 1996. All I have is good things to say about her work ethic and skills as a psychiatrist. As I retire in southern Illinois next month I will think of her fondly always.

Dr Segalite is an excellent advocate for mental health treatment and diagnosis. Thanks to her I'm still alive and functioning successfully. She works closely with the rest of my healthcare team to continue serving all my healthcare needs!

I have been a patient of Dr. Segalite for over 10 years. During this time she has seen me grow from dependence to independence one step at a time. She has worked with me every step of the way getting me to my final goal which is weeks away and couldn't have been possible without her knowledge, commitment and professionalism. She does not really pay attention to what you are saying, never remembers what we have talked about in past appointments, I have been seeing her for a year and do not feel better at all, time to find a new doctor.
