Dr. Durand earned his BA. degree in Chemistry from Maryville College and Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston, S.C. After completing a hospital based general practice residency at the Veterans Hospital in Omaha, Nebraska, Dr. Durand took a teaching position at Oregon Health Sciences University School of Dentistry in Portland, Oregon. Also while in Portland Dr. Durand worked in private practice, completed an endodontic specialty residency and taught clinical endodontics at the School of Dentistry. In 1991 Dr. Durand returned to Maryville and opened his practice.Â
Dr. Durand's interests include dentistry, hiking, travel, photography, cooking and glassblowing.
