Dr. Larry Alan Wainschel, MD

I went to Dr. Wainschel several years ago about a herniated disc. He did surgery on me then disappeared and was kicked out by his fellow doctors. I didn't find out the truth until I moved back to Victorville and was reading the newspaper and saw an article called ask the doctor and the topic was a herniated disc. That is when I found out that doctor Wainschel violated the law with my surgery. He has totally ruined my retirement. I am miserable.

The day after an auto accident my mother-in-law was up and using a walker in the hospital and Wainschel said she was ok and should be discharged. We refused and two weeks later Wainschel did surgery replacing one vertebra and fusing three vertebrae with a metal plate. After surgery my mother-in-law was paralyzed on side and had to have a feeding tube put into her stomach because her throat was paralyzed and she couldn't swallow. Her condition never improved. Sharon spent the last six months of her life feeling miserable and in pain in a long term care facility!!!! I would have given Wainschel a negative 5 but that wasn't an option. Bill Singleton

Gets down to the level of the patient to explain in detail procedures as the patient needs to know to understand their problem as well as the outcome. Calls the family to keep them informed of the process during and after surgery.
