Dr. Young was born in Beaufort, South Carolina, lived in Hampton, South Carolina, and in 1969, he received a Bachelor of Science degree from Clemson University. He attended Georgetown University School of Dentistry where he received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in 1973. After spending two years working as a dentist in the U.S. Army Dental Corp in Colorado Springs, Colorado, he moved to Jacksonville, Florida, where in 1975 he opened his office for the practice of general and cosmetic restorative dentistry.
