Dr. Laura Michelle Divine, MD

My daughter is a patient of Dr. Divine. When dealing with a life threatening disease such cancer, you really need someone you trust! That’s importantant. These drs take an oath which is very important and apply that oath to every patient she comes in contact with. If I was a Dr it would bother me that my patient might feel some kinda way about my practice. 104 temp, calls in to inform dr on 12/3/23, message left, triage nurse calls4 to 5 hrs later to say the Dr has been in surgery and can’t get in touch with her. Not acceptable for someone who is compromised and a temp of 104 doesn’t send up a red flag to the triage nurse? Something wrong here. When she does get a call, they tell her to go to the hospital emergency room where she sits from maybe 1:00pm to about 10:00pm in a room full of people until she is seen. She’s already compromise because she has cancer. I always thought that every dr had a backup dr to care for their patients when the primary is unavailable. They finally… admitted her, she got a room, not sure if the Dr has been in contact with her yet. Labs were done which I knew they would be, she has some serious issues. I’m just wondering if she’s getting the best care possible for her situation . I wouldn’t have tolerated that! Most Black patients have a sense about their Dr. Daughter haven’t said anything, but this is what she’s with with her care as a cancer patient. I would have sought out a second opinion, my opinion as a mother. Praying that God touches her care givers so that she gets the best care/treatment possible. Could say more, just a little irate regarding what I have witnessed. I can’t give a rating but have to for submitting what my daughter has experience, just unacceptable..

I would highly recommend Dr. Divine to my family and closest friends. She has been a blessing to me during this time in my life. She is an excellent doctor with great bed side manor and has always made us feel comfortable when at doctors visits. She’s a great listener and never makes you feel rushed. Top notch doctor!

Dr. Divine was very clear with her treatment for mom. She encouraged us to ask questions and was very open with us. No sugar coating and allowed the family to be involved. Her bedside manner along with her staff gave us the FAITH for healing. We were never alone on the journey for Stage 3 Ovarian cancer. Mom is 71 and a survivor thanks to an Aggressive treatment, rest, nutrition, stopped Smoking and no alcohol all due to suggestions from Dr. Divine.

Very capable with a great bedside manner.

She needs to get her money back for her medical degree. I will never see her again. The experience was horrible! She lacks compassion, empathy and intelligence among other vital characteristics physicians should have. She does not care what you the patient has to say or think so don't waste your time telling her; she thinks she knows everything anyway. Good luck to you if she has anything to do with your care.

Absolutely horrific! She is demeaning, snide and talks poorly behind patients backs and then laughs about it! She refuses to listen to concerns because she thinks she knows it all. Don't go to her.... you would be better off treating yourself!
