Dr. Laura Ellen Meinke

When an Xray for another issue showed a 1.5 cm lung nodule, I was terrified of what this could mean. I am so thankful that I became a patient of Dr. Meinke. She, her nurse, and the residents she oversees were incredibly kind, knowledgeable, and personable. They developed a plan for investigating the nodule and a follow-up plan. In every visit, I felt completely comfortable and reassured. Dr. Meinke even called me herself to tell me the results of my followup imaging. It's so rare that a doctor calls you herself to tell you your results are normal and to check on you. I really appreciate that. I wish she could be my doctor for every specialty!

This doctor saved my life. She is thorough, knowledgable, and caring. I was blessed that she was assigned to my case while I was hospitalized at UMC. After many weeks she was able to move my case forward and get me on the road to recovery. The rest I owe to God.
