Completely belittled my legit concerns. Made a major mistake in her clinical judgment and never called to apologize or acknowledge. I am a clinician myself and would never treat a patient the way I was treated by Dr. Kauffman.

I highly recommend her to anyone. She's very caring, very patient with children and is very knowledgeable. When my infant child was sick with pneumonia she did everything she could to get him up and running and within a couple of days after seeing her my son was back to his playful self.

Dr. Kauffman has been so valuable to my daughters health that she must been a God send. I moved to Chicago less than a year ago and we have a new born that when she got here was 7 months old. When we got here to Chicago our we were concerned because our daughter was discharging a lot of pus from her left eye. She told us it was something normal for some newborn and that about when she turned 1 it will probably go away, she still gave us a referral for an eye Dr just to be on the safe side. We go to the ophthalmologist and he schedules surgery!!. Needless to say we were confused but press on. Later we take our daughter back for vaccines and Dr. Kauffman ask us about the appointment and we tell her that surgery was schedule. She got on the phone we the staff of the ophthalmologist and the surgery was cancelled and like she said right around when she turned 1 her tear ducts opened naturally and no surgery was needed. The next episode was with our 9yr old, we take her in to be… evaluated because she been throwing up for days and has lost weight rapidly in the past days. Before we took her in we had taken her twice to different ER's and was sent home with only nausea prescriptions. She immediately got on the phone with our daughter gastroenterologist Dr for an emergency appointment for that same day. After a simple set of X-rays it was clear she had a intestinal obstruction and was admitted to the hospital on the spot. When looking for a Dr you want someone that doesn't take any chances and Dr Kauffman certainly fits the bill.
