Dr. Laura Lee Machado, MD

Dr Machado has saved my life. I had a lapband put in by another Dr and they put it around my esophagus instead of around my stomach like it was supposed to be. Dr Machado took it out and she did a gastric bypass for me. I've lost 130 pounds so far. My health has improved so much and I feel great. I tell everyone to go see her, she is an amazing doctor.

If you want life long support, Dr. Machado is the best! I've met many others and heard their experiences after surgery with other surgeons, and they're basically left up to their own devices. If you are dedicated to yourself and work the program, you'll do great. My recommendation, stay connected! Go to your appointments! Join the support group options! She provides a safe space for her patients in this virtual world to get together and share ideas, and tbe there through struggles to help get you back on track. The surgery was great as well, no complications, staff were wonderful, but the aftercare is absolutely unbeatable!

Do NOT go to this Doctor!!!! She is cold and heartless and shouldn’t be in practice!!!! She does not care about her patients, only that paycheck! Despicable! She may be a good dr., but the two front office employees, which are the face of her practice are rude, unprofessional, and highly incompetent. I was beyond appalled by the experience I had dealing with this office. I’m surprised she’s still in business after reading the dozens of reviews by people who have endured the same treatment.

I would not recommend this doctor or office to anyone. Initially the doctor started out fine. I told her that $125 for a fill was too expensive for me and that through my previous insurance I did not have to pay such a large copay. I was hoping that she would work with me. She did not! On my last visit I paid $125 for less than 1 cc of fluid and something that took 60 Seconds. There was a discrepancy with my bill and I wanted to speak to the doctor about this and wrote her a letter. She refused to take my calls or respond to me at all. The office manager was as friendly as a snake. She refused to accept my CareCredit card as payment and turned me into collections. I agree that the office staff was very cold. I think they were intimidated by the office manager. The office manager did this intentionally to be snarky. What kind of office does this?Very unprofessional! I wouldn't bring my pet rattlesnake to this office! I am done with them.

I went to Dr. Machado to explore surgical options. The first time I met her was at her info session and I knew pretty early in the process that she would be the one for me. I felt very confident and energized after the info session. Throughout the whole process leading up to my gastric sleeve, she kept us educated and assured. The whole office is very thorough in their understanding of the different procedures, and you can call with any question. If you;re thinking about getting and weight loss surgeries, you should definitely consider Dr. Machado.

Dr Machado may be a good Dr, but the lady at the front counter made me choose another facility. She has BAD bedside manner & should be fired with the way she speaks out loud in the office.

Dr. Machado is fantastic, but the front desk staff have been extremely rude on several occasions. As much as I like this doctor, having to deal with her staff can be a real headache. They have terrible attitudes, are condescending, acting like you're really putting them out to just get some simple clerical things done. They will try to dispense medical advice without even consulting the doctor. Rather than being professional and treating you with respect, they act like they're doing you a huge favor..maybe it's part of society's view that obese people deserve no respect, are lazy, uneducated, etc. (Dr. Machado does not treat you like this at all - I wish I could see her without dealing with these snotty girls up front)

Very caring and understanding Doctor. I could talk to her like a sister. I know I made an excellent choice!!
