Dr. Laura Macisaac, MD

I was left with Asherman's Syndrome, a difficult-to-cure form of uterine scarring, by the cavalier and aggressive D&C that Dr. Macisaac performed on me post-miscarriage. The office was also chaos, I waited for 4 hours, the male anesthesiologist told me to "smile" because I "have a pretty face," and I was never given the antibiotic I was supposed to take prior to the procedure. The entire experience was super unprofessional beyond belief. If I were a litigious person and not just trying to move on with my life and cure my infertility caused by Dr. Macisaac, I'd sue. But instead, I just hope to protect other women going through a painful time from the same fate I'm facing. Find a doctor who performs D&Cs under hysteroscopy, do not endanger yourself.

I am myself a healthcare provider and I seldom come across clinicians who make me this uncomfortable. My wife didn't meet this doctor until she was already on the table and under sedation for a D&C procedure. This was only after she asked to meet the doctor and the nurse had to go and get her. The front office staff is beyond rude. The practice environment feels like a pregnancy termination factory and does not feel supportive at all. It was a terrible experience.
