Dr. Laura Ann Nelson, DO

Dr. Nelson couldn’t have been any nicer or understanding! Very knowledgeable and she has fantastic bedside manners. She is top notch.

Dr. Nelson disregarded serious medical symptoms and told me I would reduce them by eating breakfast and losing weight. Turns out I have an uncommon genetic disorder that needs to be closely monitored because of the potential for serious complications. The symptoms I was telling her about were clear markers of the disorder. I'm now essentially afraid to send my medical records from her clinic because the notes make me sound like a hypochondriac rather than someone with a medical condition. She made me feel crazy. That said, the Woodbury clinic in general has great staff. I would never recommend Dr. Nelson to anyone.

The average wait time is 5 min, if longer they explain the wait and are apologetic. Dr. Nelson asks lots of questions and listens attentively to any questions or concerns you may have.

I have seen Dr. Nelson several times over the last two years for a couple of minor physical ailments. During this same time period I met with many other medical professionals and Dr. Nelson's professional and down to earth style sets her apart from her peers. With the other professionals I felt rushed and intimidated, while Dr. Nelson was patient and an eager listener. During my visits with Dr. Nelson it felt like I was speaking to a favorite co-worker. My two issues were completely unrelated and quite specialized and Dr. Nelson had in-depth knowledge that I would only expect out of a specialist. I am so fortunate to have her as my primary care physician. I would recommend her to anyone and everyone.
