Dr. Laura Nancy Price, MD

I've had the worst experience with Dr Price the very few times I've seen her. The first time I saw her I was 6 months pregnant (yes I was a young mother). I went to her for a rash I had on my thigh. She looked at it, said it was ringworm, not harmful to my baby, told me what to buy for it and to go back in if it was still there 7 days later. 7 days later I was covered in this rash from neck down to thighs. When I went back in they had me see the dermatologist. Ended up being nothing too serious though, thank god. Now the second time she was involved was a few months after once I gave birth to my son. He was 2 weeks old and I had to take him to the ER because I was breastfeeding and my son wasn't keeping any of it down. The doctors in the ER wanted to run a whole bunch of tests on my baby and wen they called his pediatricians office she was the doctor on call of course. Since he had kept down each feeding while we were there she told the ER doctors to not run any of the tests and to… send us home. Exactly ONE WEEK later I had to rush my 3 week old baby to the ER again due to a 104.5 fever he had!! My poor baby went through so much in the ER and at one point he even stopped breathing!!!!! Doctors and nurses were having a hard time getting the IV in him because he was such a tiny little thing. Once he stopped breathing they rushed him away from me and there was the biggest crowed of doctors and nurses all around him. Once they stabilized him he was on oxygen and had his IV on the side of his head. He got immediately admitted to the PICU over night and stayed on the pediatric floor for a week. I can't help but blame Dr Price for it getting to that point. If she would have just let the doctors in the ER run their tests hey wanted to run the week before instead of sending us home, everything would have got caught early enough for my son not to have gone through all that he went through the following week. First she misdiagnosed me while pregnant then sends has ER doctors send a 2 week old baby who wasn't keeping down his feelings home. I don't trust her and I don't allow any of my children to be seen by her!
