Dr. Lauren Elizabeth Durant, PhD

Dr. Durant is by far the greatest psychologist I had the pleasure of working with; she is extremely emphatic and socially conscious. She is honest and straight forward, without placing any moral or ethical judgements on an individual’s behaviors. She has a larger than life personality, with warm and welcoming mannerisms. It usually took me a while to be able to open up and talk about my problems with anyone, from the very first appointment she made me feel as though I could tell her anything. She provided me with cell number, and made herself available 24/7 if the need should arise. I think her forte is in relationship counseling; however, the problem-solving skills and techniques which she taught me, continually provide me with the ability to assess every situation, determine if it is a healthy one or not, and respond appropriately for all life’s challenges.

Very full of herself. I was blown away by the racist, unprofessional comments that she made.

Requires days and hours to get five minutes with this woman. She then insults you and is completely disrescpectful in her comments, while taking other calls (opf course!) during your five minute sit down with her. She did not get up to shake a hand or escort a potentially employee who had waited hours to meet with her --- even the ten feet from her desk to her door. I have never experienced such an unprofessional, disrespectful greeting from an ED in the past. Careful of EEO laws and discrimination lawsuits, Lauren... Also, do not tell potential employees who have mastered and completed every step of your hiring process that you "look forward to seeing (them) in the halls around B&D." Grow some balls and be straight, on the spot, about your bigotry.
