My 2 kids have been with Dr LG for 6 yrs. We never got to talk to LG for more than 5 minutes; for the few times when the kids need to get checked for urgent matters like high fevers, there was never a pediatrician in the office, so the nurse had been doing the doctor's job. We are lucky that our kids have strong immune systems, and only get sick once a year, so we never thought to switch pediatrician since life is already busy. However, it all changed my mind last week when my daughter got a high fever of 104 with a bad headache and a mouth-full blisters. She can't talk or eat. I called in, and again no doctor was there, and a nurse checked on her, proscribed 10 days of antibiotics. I wondered for a while why a nurse could subscribe strong medications to a kid. After 2 days on the antibiotics, we didn't see any improvement, and the fever got higher. I then called my own doctor, who we trust to take a look of her. My doctor was surprised that a nurse was able to give out the strong… drugs, and more importantly the doctor informed that it was caused by a type of virus, and the antibiotics would not work at all. This has been my experiences with LG's office. I am switching pediatrician this time.

By far this office is one of the best around, the staff, the practitioners, doctors etc, etc. Love the office w/x-rays and lab in the same building, no need to travel to emerson hospital.
