She is very smart and helps you stay informed

I’ve seen Dr. Hensley twice now for annual checkups, postpartum. She took her time listening and asking me questions about my hormone issues and possible depression, as well as my concerns about my marriage and how that might apply to me in terms of female health. She was extremely empathetic and warm, and also very practical and professional. I’m new to this practice, and am not certain the administrative staff are completely organized. This is because I showed up for my second appointment, and they didn’t have it on record (I even had the card they jotted down for me). They had switched record systems sometime during the year and somehow my entire appointment disappeared, and I had to come back two months later. Nonetheless, I am looking forward to seeing Dr. Hensley again. I highly recommend her,

I chose this group because I heard good reviews on one of the OB from the group. So far, I've had 2 appointments and still hasn't met the OB that I wanted due to schedule conflicts and the 3rd appointment is still with someone else. The 2 OBs I've met so far seems fair. The first one was friendly but inexperienced and the 2nd one was Dr.Hensley. She was professional but not friendly. There is no continuity from one meeting to the next. The first OB recommended a therapy to begin at my 2nd appointment given my previous history of preeclampsia, but Dr.Hensley did not mention it at the appointment. When I showed up for the 2nd appointment, the first OB forgot to submit a referral for the procedure I was to get done at my 2nd appointment so I had to wait. Then Dr.Hensley never sent a prescription to the pharmacy so I had to call the office which was closed, so I left a message w the answering service and it's been over 2 days and still nothing has been done. My final decision… to change the OB came after I had unexplainable large discharge/tissues fall out of my vagina. They looked like used tea bags that are size of a thumb nail. I've never seen anything like it so I called the office, but the front desk informed me that there is no opening and had a nurse call me back and unsuccessfully tried to convince me that it's probably nothing. I need more of an assurance than her telling me "it's probably nothing to worry about." What is the point of having a doctor that cannot help you when you are concerned and does not have a medical explanation of the situation. So far this office seems unorganized and OBs treat you, not as their OWN patient, but more like a number of patients they just have to see in a day. I will be changing the doctor for future visits.
