My issue is that I had a simple treatment done at Dr. Randall's office. I could have gone to the store and bought the same treatment for $10. I was billed $536 by Piedmont Healthcare. Dr. Randall said she has no control over how a patient is billed. Therefore, I am stuck with a $215 bill for something that costs $10 in the store. This is because my insurance paid some, but not all. Piedmont Healthcare billed it as a surgical procedure, which is was not! I disputed and Piedmont Healthcare did not care. Terrible to do this to patients, so I will never go to another Piedmont Healthcare facility or doctor again.
