Dr. Lauren Cronenberg Self, MD

I had an appointment with Dr. Self today. She made me feel very comfortable from the minute she walked in the room. She took the time to talk to me & go over some very important things. She didn't rush out the door. I would definitely recommend her. I had a bad experience with my last gynecologist. It was so nice to sit and talk to a Dr. that truly cares about her patients.

I was referred to Dr. Self by a friend, after my OB-Gyn retired and had a bad experience with her substitute physician. Dr. Self takes the time to meet with her at her office and develop a personal contact BEFORE the first examination. She took time to take care of a problem that I had for years and finally is under control. She also recommended alternatives to medications as a first option.. and it worked! I am a senior and having a young professional that cares, takes her time, has a very positive and happy demeanor and always seems glad to see you- it is special. Love her...

Dr. Self delivered my baby not long ago and she did an amazing job. She is kind and listens to all of your concerns. She also knew just what to say to keep me calm when I ended up needing a c section. Her staff in her office are also amazing. I love that I always saw the same nurse every time I went for a check up so you really get to know the people you’re going to be seeing all of the time instead of seeing a new person who doesn’t know who you are every visit. I would highly recommend anyone looking for an OB or a gynecologist to consider Dr. Self.

She has helped me since the first time she took me on as a patient. She understands that life happens and things are always going to work out like it should. I have missed appointments more than once and not once did I get a letter stating I was dropped as a patient nor have I been charged a fee. She gets to know your story and focuses on what is important to you

I had no idea about this site until today while I was researching primary care doctors in my area and I decided to look at my OBGYN 's ratings. Dr. Lauren Self has the highest overall rating of any of the other doctors I have researched today! I have been a patient of Dr. Self's for about 3 or 4 years now. She is always very comforting, attentive, and professional. She seems to be very passionate and caring. I have referred a few friends and co-workers to her recently and they all have had the same feedback as I have. I only see Dr. Self once a year (So 3 or 4 times total the past few years) and she always remembers me! (I know what you are thinking - In the chart, duh!) She also remembered these details about me when I sent my friend in to see her a couple weeks ago and asked how I was and how my job was going, etc. These are small details, but go along way because it shows she cares enough to take the time and learn details about her patients' lives- Not just the medical chart.… Thank you Dr. Self for being a passionate/caring doctor for women's health.

The check-in staff could be a little more friendly. Wait time can be long but Dr. Self is great!

Dr. Self's staff is very cold and rude. Not very helpful at all. The office coordinator Rebecca blamed her appointment setters for not properly providing the information I needed for my new patient appointment with Dr. Self instead of trying to help me. Will never use Azalea Physicians for Women. Staff needs some serious customer service training. Instead of making a women's most exciting time in life, birth, exciting they make it difficult!

She is wonderful, the best doctor by far, I've ever seen! She is easy to talk to and takes time with you to listen and explain. She has a great personality. She's not just a doctor but a woman, a mother and she can relate. Absolutely a godsend!!!
