Dr. Laurence Kinsella, MD

I am just thrilled that I found Dr Kinsella. He asked lots of questions and did all the right tests to get my diagnosis. I actually enjoyed my visits as he’s very funny and a pleasure to talk to. I highly recommend him. Great staff also.

Dr. Kinsella was so welcoming and insured me that he cared. I have had a rough couple years and lots of complications after having MVD procedure at a different hospital, that left me using a wheelchair. Dr. Kinsella was my life saver. Even when we came to obstacles with insurance companies, he helped me find care elsewhere. When treatment didn’t help locally he helped me find the right doctor. After using a wheelchair for 2 1/2 years, my spinal fluid leak is fixed and been able to completely lose the wheelchair. Thank You, Dr. Kinsella for giving me my life back. He insured me during the whole process I mattered.

I suffered with debilitating migraines almost daily for over five years. I was treated by four different neurologists. Finally, I was referred to Dr. Kinsella. Dr. Kinsella listened carefully to me. He didn't jump to a quick diagnosis. He asked a lot of questions. He caught key issues other neurologists has missed. He was then able to diagnose a cure to my condition. It has changed my life. I highly recommend him!

I have already been recommending Dr. Kinsella to people that I know because he helped get some life back into me after a long time without it. Dr. Kinsella and Marilyn are kind and compassionate and always go above and beyond for their patients. Dr. Kinsella listened to all my complicated and unusual symptoms, looked at the test results and came up with a plan to help me feel better and it is working. I would highly recommend Dr. Kinsella to anyone!!!!!

Dr. Kinsella is a rare gem. I’ve never met a physician that is both compassionate and wicked smart. Striking this sweet spot is rare with physicians. He helped me when I was at my sickest. I’ve always felt comfortable asking him hard questions. Towards the end of an appointment I asked, “Is there any other neurological condition you can think of that would explain my symptoms.” He then said, “You took me back to medical school.” He then went into my diagnosis. We started treatment immediately. If it weren’t for Dr. Kinsella thinking outside of the box I can’t imagine where I’d be- it actually terrifies me when I think about what if he didn’t accurately diagnose me. His staff is AMAZING. They understand and listen. His nurse is kind and always takes time to hear about my symptoms prior to my appointment. One of the things I appreciate about Dr. Kinsella is after you check in his staff gives you a piece of paper to write the main three things you want to discuss. This reflects that Dr.… Kinsella wants to take time and address patients' concerns. I can’t say enough good things about Dr. Kinsella, his nurse, and staff. If you have been shamed by other physicians for symptoms reported that may not fit into a clear cut neurological diagnosis, if you struggle with your mental health which impacts your physical symptoms, or really for anything else- look no further than Dr. Kinsella. I can say with confidence you will not be disappointed.

Thorough and compassionate are two words to best describe Dr. Kinsella. His staff is best described this way, as well. I was very ill, bedridden for nearly a year when I was finally sent to see Doctor Kinsella. He thoroughly reviewed all my previous tests, carefully conducted a series of examinations and after nearly an hour with him, Dr. Kinsella provided us with a plan. He stated his goal was to "get me better". He did, in a matter of a few short weeks. Clearly, Dr. Kinsella is a leader is his field. He is worth the wait to see.

The title of this review is not an exaggeration by any means. I have a diagnosis of Ehlers Danlos and have had struggle after struggle, with not many answers/solutions. After a c1-c2 fusion, that we thought would fix the majority of my struggles, I was still having tremendous pain in my head/neck, was incredibly dizzy, felt like I was on a cruise boat, had decrease sensations, and couldn't even stand up, requiring the use of a wheelchair to move around. It got to the point that I couldn't even be in a position other then laying down. I was struggling...bad...and after seeing quite a few doctors who were all stumped, felt incredibly hopeless. Then I met with Dr. Kinsella and things dramatically shifted. With his knowledge of Ehlers Danlos as well as neurological issues, he pinpointed a main problem that was missed by so many other doctors. After a short procedure, I was upright and walking! I highly recommend Dr. Kinsella. Not only is he incredibly knowledgeable, but his bedside… manner made me feel at ease and it is evident that he truly cares about the patients he sees. I am a very thankful patient.

I had many complications after a pregnancy. I was unable to work or drive and I was passing out often. I saw many doctors and they were unable to help. The first time I met Dr. Kinslla, I knew he would be the perfect fit for me. He listened and asked questions and even though it was complex he fought for an answer. He found I had a spinal leak and with treatment I am back to normal. I am so grateful to have found him . Dr. Kinsella and his team are incredible. I had to drive 3 1/2 hours to see him but it was definitely worth the drive

This was the third neurologist that I saw for an alleged stroke at age 39. He had great reviews so I drove 3 hours to see him. Dr. Kinsella did spend quite a bit of time with me, however, he didn't listen to me and had already decided what my diagnosis was going to be prior to walking into the room. To make this short, Dr. Kinsella diagnosed me with migraines (I've never had headaches) and a possible torn shoulder, neither of which ended up being true and he told me to go out a purchase a specific book (regarding the power of suggestion) indicating to me that all the symptoms that had happened were in my head. Yes my idea of a good time is to not be able to walk or talk properly for MONTHS. I went to the Mayo clinic 2 months later and received a REAL diagnosis of Functional Neurological Disorder that mimics Strokes, Parkinson's, and MS. They ran tests to verify that I was NOT faking as Dr. Kinsella noted in his report. THANK GOODNESS FOR THE REAL DOCS AT MAYO!!

I was referred to Dr. Kinsella from two of my other specialists who said "This is the guy you need to see!" They were absolutely correct! I knew from the moment he walked in the door that he was going to not only take the time to truly listen to me and my extremely complicated medical past and present, but also be able to think outside of the box enough to be able to truly help make me feel better and improve my quality of life. I can't even tell you how many physicians have told me over the years, "I have never seen someone like you before. I wish I could help you but I have no idea how." This guy is up for the task! He not only helped with postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome, POTS, but also was able to diagnose and treat other conditions which were adversely affecting my daily life. I highly recommend Dr. Kinsella and his entire staff. Ariel, who conducted my tilt table test, was beyond wonderful, caring and compassionate. I could go on and on, but seriously, these… are great folks!
