Dr. Laurence Hamilton Lotz, MD

Dr. Lotz is not someone who will sit and listen to you complain about ailments you don't have, and I like that. He basically looks at you, gives it to you straight, and gets it solved. I love telling stories about my visits with him because he doesn't dance around things and just gets the job done. I don't want to be someone who needs hand holding and I don't want a doctor that tries do and for that, he is perfect. If I had a serious disease, I would DEFINITELY trust his advice and course of treatment. My minor problems were solved easily and quickly.

I have been seeing Dr Lotz for a year. He is very patient, he makes sure that ur questions are a answered. He will walk patients out and hold the door open for them. Whenever u need to come back for a follow up appointment, the girls are always so nice and willing to help me. His front office staff is very sweet. I have recommend him to my family and friends.

Unbelievably horrible. Rudest doctor. Made me cry, misdiagnosed me, refused to give me birth control!! Really? Birth control? Maybe he doesn't believe in taking it? Heard him making fun of my condition in the hallway with his nurse. I can't even say enough, I have HAD it with treatment like this. He caused me to sit in my car and cry for an hour after the appointment. NO WAY GO ELSEWHERE

Dr. L. Lotz has been my doctor since approximately 2002, and I wouldn't trade him for anyone else. He is a doctor who genuinely cares about his patients, and will refer them to someone else who can help, if the diagnosis requires it. He has called me at home several times to check on me when I had some heart symptoms in his office, and had to be transferred by ambulance to French Hospital. Later, he correctly diagnosed me with spinal stenosis and referred me to a neurological spinal surgeon, who took care of the problem. He seems to really care about his patients, and he is very easy to talk to. His staff is friendly, helpful, outgoing and very professional.

As the mother of a patient you should not feel attacked by your teenager's doctor. A doctor who has had virtually no previous encounters with your child and is only their doctor because the insurance company plugged their name in. It is still a patient's right, or parent's right, to refuse unnecessary medications and/or vaccines. When we make INFORMED decisions for ourselves or our children, I expect every medical professional to respect that choice and not belittle and bully patients into making choices they are not comfortable with. Just because we don't agree does not mean I am not educated or informed on the consequences of my decisions. I will not be berated by anyone for a choice that is mine to make. My child will not be a patient of Dr. Lotz any longer.

I dont think ive ever had a more horrible doctor. I came in simply for a prior auth to see another doctor as well as talk about the footpan ive been having. My appointment was scheduled for 3 and i was not seen until 4-4:15. Upon seeing me, he seems annoyed that he was not off the clock yet. I explained about my need for a prior auth and he stated "ok yeah i can do that...anything else" in a very rude tone and when asked about medications he said "yea no i cant help you with that..so dont ask me..we'll just send you there.". When told about my foot pain he stated my slippers are something i shouldnt be wearing and proceeded to literally throw them across the room and then tell me "you know your overweight and could stand to lose some". By the end of the appointment he didnt even bother to look at me and stood in the corner behind me and not say much but trying to rush me out the door. I can only hope he was having a bad day and did not treat anyone else this way but regardless that not… how you treat anyone.

Doctor seemed to be in bad mood and wanting to move on.

Not a good experience. evryone seemed to have a bad attitude. My condition was not explained very well. The Dr. acted as thought he was in a bad mood and wanted to move on as fast as possible.

The receptionist was rude and didn't seem to care at all about anything but the smoothie she just got from Jamba. She just rushed me through everything when i had questions and then said just sit down and ask the nurse when she calls you. Then the nurse asked me why i was there and under her breath laughed at my reason when i didn't know asthma was laughable, then the dr rushed me right through it and wrote me a prescription and sent me on my way leaving me with questions. No one there was compassionate, they just push you aside bring the next in and wait for the clock to hit 5pm. WORST dr office experience ever
