Can't thank him enough for all he has done for me and my babies.

I was just a regular second pregnancy in the suburbs of Columbus. Then I knew something was wrong when I was vomiting blood and losing blood all the time. I notified my OBGYN at the time and she dismissed it as "hemorrhoids." I later saw my family doctor who told me I was very sick and therefore putting my baby at risk and needed to pack my things and head straight to the hospital up in Columbus (my city wouldn't accept my high risk).I reached the hospital and immediately was met with a team of doctors. Only one doctor was able to help, and only an assumption of my symptoms- which couldn't be confirmed till the next day. Dr. Stemple and a resident met me in the L & D ER and let me know things were going to be scary but will eventually get better. From that time on I was finally feeling "heard." The next day I was in fact diagnosed with a disease that had been so severe that had nearly killed my son because it nearly killed me. I was having heart arrhythmia and my blood pressure was… critically low along with several other problems. I was on oxygen for a week and a heart monitor for almost two weeks. I was hospitalized- the first time- for 2 wks!Dr. Stemple was great at acknowledging my feelings and presence, especially while trying to talk to me and teach his residents. He made me feel assured and rested that things would be ok and they would do everything to keep an eye on my son. He payed extra attention to me and my feelings and my health. He was sure to be at my birth, whereas most of the time residents can deliver the babies... for me he was sure that he wanted to be there in case any complications with me or my son. Even after the birth of my son he was sure to take care of me and my body. I was on state issued health insurance and at 20 years old I was having my second child, he never once made me feel like I was a low life or that I was just another bum on state insurance.
