Dr. Laurie Brustad Kennedy, PhD

Dr Laurie is a wonderful mentor and helper in my journey to better mental health. I was very hesitant to “open the door” to my many traumatic experiences. Afraid that I would suffer greatly. I’ve worked with Dr Laurie, unpacking my “closet of horrors” that I had stuffed full and did everything I could to keep the door shut tightly. When it became more than I could bare, my quality of life diminished so much that I found it undesirable to carry on. I now have the tools I need to Begin Living the Life I Want. If not now, when?

Dr. Brustad Kennedy helped me tremendously with anxiety, depression, and grief. She truly helped me see the toxic traits I've picked up from my environment and how to overcome them. As well as coping mechanisms for when its just me and my illness. She truly truly helped me improve myself and and my life. It meant so much then (1.5yrs ago) and it still means alot now. I always recommend my her friends still in her area. And truly wish I could have put her in my suitcase and brought right down South with me lol

Laurie misdiagnosed my bipolar depression as unipolar depression. I was consequently medicated incorrectly and became manic. She threatened to call the police when I came to my next appointment in a manic state. I lost a year of school recovering from the manic episode. She never admitted to the mistake or apologized.
