Dr. Lawrence Neil Gynther, MD

Dr. Gynther appears to not adhere to what I've read after the fact is the standard of care when it comes to treating patients that will be receiving chemotherapy and radiation at "the same time". Normally those patients start both services the same day, but Dr. G started my sister much sooner and we hadn't even made up our mind about the radiation part. It all happens so fast and we don't know any better, then discovered it after the fact that we should have started both at the same time but he said it didn't matter and radiation would "catch up". He's a nice guy and comes across like he's "advocating", but there's such a thing as also working with the whole team, and not operating as a lone wolf. Makes us wonder about my sister's future, since her chemo started early and not together with radiation.

I have been under Dr.Gynther's care for well over a year and could not have ask for a better doctor. I have found him knowledgeable, caring, easy to talk too and an aggressive advocate in my behalf when needed. Had it not been for Dr. Gynther my outcome might have been less optimistic.
