Dr. Lawrence Mark Hurvitz, MD

"I was very dissatisfied with the overall experience with this Dr. office on my first visit. After waiting almost one hour, they then took me in and did a very simple preliminary exam, which was NOT why I went in. I was told I had glaucoma, and they seemed annoyed that I did not have a Dr. referral despite the fact I asked them if they needed my past medical records and they said they did not. I found a very old theme with equipment that must have been 20-30 years old, and old office decor and just not what I expected from what I am used to. They did not even finish my exam, refused to go forward and check for my serious condition, and then let me wait yet another hour saying the Dr. is running behind. Very resistant attitudes, especially from the LPN that saw me first. Older technology is everywhere and I cannot recommend this office to anyone. I am going to go to another office that has more understanding and patience. Not a good experience and I wasted 3 hrs of my time. Ty"

For the third time at this practice, my 92 year old mother was left waiting in an exam room for over 90 minutes. This time, I was with her and it was an hour and 40 minutes before the Doctor came in to see her. When I said it was a little disrespectful to leave patients--particularly 92 year old patients--just sitting in a room waiting for over 90 minutes, the doctor got very exercised, jumped up and said it that is how we felt, we could leave. So we did. The appointment began with my Mother almost falling trying to get from her wheel-chair to the exam-chair. I was supporting her on one side, but then she began losing her balance and yelled for the nurse on the other side to help keep her from falling. The nurse said no (!). That they were not allowed, by clinic policy, to render any physical help to their patients. Apparently this includes keeping a 92 year old woman from falling.

He explained everything that was going on and eased my anxiety a lot

I was warned that it would be a long wait in advance of my appointment. I was there for three hours on my initial visit. I left there knowing and understanding my condition more than any of the previous "specialists" that I saw. It was worth the wait. Very knowledgeable staff.

I am very fortunate to have been recommended to Dr. Hurvitz by my wonderful retina doctor, Dr. Niffeneggar. Dr. Hurvitz is greatly admired by another my doctors who says Dr. Hurvitz is one of only a few doctors that has the experience to treat glaucoma with special needed care. Dr. Hurvitz deeply cares about how his staff treats patients and how patients react to treatment. From my experience, I appreciate his care.

I waited a month to see Dr. Hurvitz. When I booked the appointment I was told to plan on a 2 hour exam. What they should of said was to plan on waiting 2.5 hours and you may or may not get to see the doctor in that time. My appointment was for 10:00 a.m. At 12:30 I still had not seen the doctor. No real apologies from the staff or doctor. Unprofessional and outdated office.

Dr Hurvitz was very thorough during my exam. At the end he gave me taped lectures that has been pre-recorded and told me to listen to two different lectures. At the end of them, I understood why I was called a suspect and answered all my questions. I think he's a very caring Dr. His office staff was wonderful and I didn't wait too Long in his waiting room before I was called.

I have going to Dr. Hurvitz for 18 years. He has removed one cataract and has treated my glaucoma during this time. My vision is excellant and I only use store baught glasses to read with. I am very pleased with all the treatment that I have received and feel that he has my best interest in mind when he treats me!!

Excellent physician, under his long-term care my glaucoma has not worsened. He is always willing to answer questions with no hit of impatience. The staff are very helpful and friendly.

you people are lucky he practices here and not in a large major city where he belongsmost of the drs here are butchers and its a shame he has to praftice in the company of so many retards
