Dr. Lawrence Kuochi Li, MD

I went in to see Dr. Li this morning and was told he doesn't accept Medicare patients. That isn't nice to decline to treat the senior citizens of America. Thanks a lot.

Dr. Li is the Best orthopedic surgeon in the Normal, Illinois area. He has taken great care of my husband with his shoulder surgery and me with my two knee surgeries. I highly recommended Dr Li and his professional staff for a job well done.

I have seen Dr. Li a few times for different injuries. He and his staff are always on time, courteous, knowledgeable and very professional. Having tests, results and answers all in the same office makes for a convenient and more pleasurable experience during a time of pain and stress. Dr. Li will walk you through the diagnosis and the steps needed to recover from your injury. His physical therapy staff is the best in town and have helped me recover from injuries on a few occasions.

I have been a patient of Dr. Li since 2007, when I had my first experiences with spinal stenosis and herniated discs. As a young active adult, there was a time when I could not envision a future free from pain and numbness in my leg. After several epidural blocks and a regimen of exercises that was customized for my physiology and mental wellness, I've made a complete recovery and have resumed an active lifestyle that includes swimming, tennis and weightlifting. In addition, he and his staff are straightforward and effective communicators -- they helped me understand my symptoms and road to recovery in plain and easily understood terms, and also tailored a rehabilitation plan according to my preference for active living. In summary, Dr. Li is a thought leader and expert practitioner in his space, and has a team of world-class healthcare professionals that make me feel empowered in managing my health and represent the highest standards of integrity.

I felt this doctor was coercing me into an unnecessary surgery. He was throwing cons of not doing thw procedure without giving exact details. When being questioned, he got personal and passed comments. While the choice is always the patients, it is the doctor's professional duty to give advise in the patients best interest. I am glad to have found another ortho. My personal advice to my near and dear ones to avoid him at all cost.

This office is horrible to deal with. I cannot believe how unprofessional they have been. I will not go back. I have found a much better Doctor in Springfield Illinois.

I went to Dr. Li for a 2nd opinion as the Peoria doctor was very dismissive and stated there was nothing he could do and to come back when I wanted shoulder replacements. This didn't make sense for rotator cuff repair. Dry. Li spent maybe 5 minutes looking at the x-rays I provided and said he could help both shoulders. He listened, explained and was caring! He performed arthroscopic surgery on both shoulders at separate times and the pain is gone with full range of motion. Thanks Dr. Li!!!!

I got a second opinion from Dr. Li and he stated that he could help my shoulder issue which was a rotator cuff tear. He absolutely did. Thankful for his expertise!

Dr. Li correctly diagnosed my issues after another doctor missed and misdiagnosed them. I am very happy with him. My shoulder is getting better every day. I am glad we chose to have the surgery.
