Dr. Robert Kenneth Seidl, MD

Terrible experience. Does not back up what he tells you and will not work with insurance companies or employers. I was almost fired because he would not back up when he told me to return to work. He lied before the surgery as to when I could return to work. He would not see me 6 weeks then cancelled my first post op appointment. I saw Brad, physicians assistant who was awesome as well as physical therapist. When I did get to see him he wasn't in the room with me for 5 minutes. He is very deceiving. Not much guideance as to post op care. Six months after surgery I am still not healed, numb, unable to use my arm and hand completely and in ALOT of pain. He isn't well liked by the physical therapists and nurses. From comments from them I understand that he does not treat them well and is not very nice to them. When you call the office it is very, very hard to speak to anyone, always leaving a message and not getting back to you. Front desk people are very rude and… unfriendly and not helpful. I will never go here again. Lucky for Dr Seidl, I cannot afford an attorney.

I have worked with Dr. seidl on two different issues now. the first went well enough. this last one i had a timing issues with work. after not getting my MRI back from his staff 5 days later then they said they would we decided surgery was the best option. unfortunately we didnt get that in as i had 2 weeks to have the surgery. poor communication and not understanding how to work with my insurance, the approval process became a rush job. i was able to get the information myself within 10 minutes but by then it was too late and they could not get me in for the surgery until the week that i started a brand new job. I will now have to wait 6 months to a year before i will have enough time off to get this surgery. His staffs in ability to communicate, and work within my time needs means i would not recommend until he gets much needed new staff members

My 12 year old fractured her foot and was referred to Dr. Seidl. She was given an appointment VERY quickly. Everyone from the receptionist, to the nursing staff were kind, courteous, and professional. Dr. Seidl was extremely personable, knowledgeable, he took the time to explain her injury as well as the recovery plan. She was smiling in her purple cast. I feel fortunate that she is under his care, and would most certainly recommend.

I have had 2 surgeries in my life that would be considered by most people the type of surgery that would be expected from such an advanced society. Other surgeries that I have had have not been so successful. Doc Seidl's surgical results speak for themselves. He saved my arm!

My experience with dr. Seidl was horrible, very arrogant, he was very rude, he would not let me speak of my concerns kept interupting everytime i would say something. In the office he told me to bend down and dislocate my kneecap whih was very unprofesional. I would not reccomend anyone to him he is a terrible doctor. Dr. Seidl acted like he didnt want to deal with me and said he didnt think there was anything wrong with my knee but he was going to refer me to a different dr cuz he might be missing something so he reffered me to dr. Cole in chicago at midwest orthopeadics at rush which is a awesome dr. He found that have slight patella alta and said that if i have a mpfl reconstruction surgery it would never duslocate ever again. Dr. Seidl did nothing but waisted my time. If u have any problems where u need to see an orthopedic i deffinatly wouldnt recommend dr. Seidl. I am very pleased with dr. Cole in chicago and his staff they r all very professional, everything revolves around the… patients, he has awesome bedside manners ect. im sure some people have had good experience unfortunatly i did not...i would much rather be dealing with a dr that knows whar hes doing other than just puting you through physical therapy because they dont want to deal with you.

Dr. Seidl has performed 4 or 5 surgeries on me. He has always provided the most professional service and has always been available for follow-up as needed. I have been so impressed with his skill and professionalism that I have always gone to him for Carpul Tunnel, Knee and shoulder problems as a result of work and sports injuries. THere are not many finer than Dr. Seidl and he has an excellent staff to back him up. I just messed up my other knee and am giving him a call right now.

I was not happy with the result of my knee replacement. Dr Seidl did not want to hear any concerns of mine. He made light of my comments and tried to impress upon me that it was much straighter. It was straighter. But my concerns were that the replacement clicked with each step I took. Feels like I am always walking up hill, as if it just was not aligned right from front to back of the knee. THe point is that Dr Seidle did not want to hear any of my concerns and did not give them any consideration or evaluation. Never even touch my knee during the one year follow-up visit.
