Dr. Jerome William Oakey, MD

I nearly cut off my finger with a saw. Dr. Oakey saved my life as far as I am concerned. I have full use of my finger. He also did carpal tunnel surgery on both hands.

Nearly three months ago, I broke two bones in my arm/wrist. I can't convey how fortunate I was to have had Dr. Oakey perform the surgery. Amazingly, I have no signs of any permanent damage. In fact, I have almost fully recovered from the breaks. My main concern was ensuring off-work status to heal, but Dr. Oakey and nurse Samantha protected me by submitting the needed paperwork while I went through therapy and regained use of my arm. This entire process has been as seamless as it could have possibly been, and I am extremely grateful to this kind, understanding doctor. Thank you to Dr. Oakey and his entire A-team! Lisa Diaz

I have now had multiple surgeries performed by Dr. Oakey including carpal tunnel release on both hands and a total of seven trigger finger releases (some trigger finger releases were performed during the carpal surgery.) Unless I point out the incision locations, you won't see them. My recovery from each surgery was fast and I never needed pain meds. Dr. Oakey is the go-to doctor for hand surgery.

Surgery fixed my issue 100% and scar is barley visible. Dr. Oakey's bedside manner is refreshing. Follow up was prompt & complete. Highly recommend this physician.

Told me my pain from a torn tendon and my finger swelling to 3x it's original size were due to my "psychiatric issues" (anxiety/depression - fully controlled on meds).

I recently had surgery on my shoulder and it was performed by Dr Oakey. Over 80% of my rotator cuff warn torn and my bicep also. 9 weeks later and I almost have 100% range of motion back and minimal pain, as to be expected. Of course, I did exactly as the doctor and physical therapist told me and I attended physical therapy 2x/week and did approved therapy at home. However, if the surgery had not been done correctly there is no way I would have made this progress. Dr Oakey was pleasant, kind and personable, he made me laugh right before surgery which helped ease some of my anxiety. He listened to me and was very respectful. Hopefully I will never have another injury that would require surgery, but if I did...I would definately go back for his services.
