Our work sends us to thi guy for any work related injuries. A few years ago I injured my knee and was sent to the er. The er doctor said my mcl was most likely torn and that I needed an MRI in a week after the swelling subsided. Dr. Piazz saw me the following week and said my quadricept was strained and that no MRI was needed he also refused to send me to an orthopedic specialist. AFter about a month my knee got so bad I could barely walk without help. I was able to switch doctors after 30 days and finally saw a real doctor. It was confirmed I completely tore my MCL, had a major meniscus tear, and had cartilidge damage and deterioration. I had surgery one week later and was back to work in 8 weeks. I am the fifth person from my work alone that he has told just suffered from muscle strains when in fact all five of us ended up having surgery for obvious injuries once we saw real doctors. If you have to see this guy for a work injury just refuse to be treated by him and wait the 30 days… and see a real doctor. The best thing to do is pre designate oyur own physician so you do not have to go to Concentra.
